This evening we showed a film to the local population on an open air screen in a field. The film was supposed to promoted human rights . However, I think most people came out of curiosity - public events are not common here. There were around 200 people in attendance, which is a lot for a small town like Beni. I was asked to say a few words to the crowd - so I put my three words of swahili to good use. I feel that here in Beni the United Nations has a good relationship with the people - which is not the case in the whole country!
