Today 'your man' is in Paris - and very pleased to be here! I had a very good birthday on Sunday - thanks to all those who could make it. I am now enjoying my holiday seeing friends, going to exhibitions, eating good food and catching up on my sleep. It is a reletive life of luxury after Africa.

Though here in Paris it is really cold - today it was even snowing! I think I will take some time to acclimatise. This evening I have been invited ice skating on the Eiffel Tower - it sounds very strange...
