Today I am feeling very energetic - it is Monday, after all. Beni is quiet - apart from one shooting over the weekend. This week things are going to be busy. The president of South Africa is coming to Congo and here in Beni we are hosting a delegation from Uganda.
Next weekend I am planning to go to the mountains again, if the security situation is OK then - it is good to leave Beni sometimes...

I spent most of the day enjoying the sunshine at the Hellenic club here in Beni. They have good food there and a nice garden where I spent the day reading my book. The Hellenic club is also a favourite meeting place for the local mafia and military leaders. I meet all the people who I usually write reports about!
