I didn't realise that Ihave not made a posting for nearly a month! I have been so busy here in Moldova with work and travelling. I have been especially busy working on a project to encourage Moldovan labour migrants to invest in Moldova in order to sustain economic growth. For more info see www.iom.md or www.migratie.md

On the travel side, I have spent 2 of the last 3 weekends in Ukraine. I went to the Black Sea coast town of Odessa and a smaller town called Rozdil'na. It was suprisingly interesting - and generally more developed than Moldova.

Last weekend I went to the Romanian town of Iasi. It is an old town well known for its university. It was also where the first printing press was established in Romania. The town has nice old streets with trams and many historic buildings.

Next weekend I will be returning to Paris to take up my job with the Organisation for Economic Cooperation and Development - which I am looking forward to. Though I will miss Moldova - I have had a really great time here and will certainly be back here again in the future.
