Friday, 2 December

Here are a few photos from Moldova, Romania, Italy and Paris. I will write a bit of dialogue later. I have been so busy with work lately there has been little time for blogging and taking photographs.

Paris has been really freezing cold lately, so I have been doing lots of indoor things. The problem is that I am working during all the daylight hours. Anyway there are lots of concerts, museums and galleries open late.

More soon....

Visit to Iasi (Romania) and Milan (Italy)

On my way from Romania I passed through Milan where I spend a very enjoyable day wandering the piazzas...

I visited Iasi at the beginning of October. Iasi is a large city in eastern Romania and is the capital of Romanian Moldova. The city is well known as a university town and for being the place where the first book was published in Romania. Iasi has also server as the capital of Romania twice - after the unification of Moldova and Wallachia in 1848 and during World War 1, when the Germans nearly captured Bucharest.

Back in Paris...

I went to quite a few concerst at the Romanian Embassy in Paris...

...And went to the open doors day at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs where Gendarmes were providing the entertainment...

Summer in Moldova...

Returning to France from Moldova via Romania and Italy...

During my short stay in Moldova whilst working for the International Organisation for Migration...

When the Ukrainians dropped the visa requirement for EU citizens I visited Odessa...
