Today it is a nice and sunny day in Paris - nice unless you have to work...like me. Last week I went to a nice exhibition at the Musee d'Orsay - the national art gallery with paintings from 1848 to 1914. The exhibition was of paintings by the Danish artist, Jens Ferdinand Willumsen - who I never heard of before. All the same, the exhibition was interesting and covered many different styles of painting. He was painting from the 1880's until the 1940's. More abouth the exhibition can be seen at:

At the weekend it was the Journees du Patrimoine - where buildings usually closed to the public are open - in and around Paris there were more than 1000 places to visit: Journees du Patrimoine
As I did not feel energetic enough to see them all I just visited two - The Pantheon - I climbed the steps up to the dome which gave a great view over Paris:

I also visited the 'Hotel de Ville' - Paris city hall: Hotel de Ville
Next weekend I a mgoing to England - I haven't been home for a long time...
