Thursday, 14 February

This evening I went to the oopening of an exhibition at the Palais de Tokyo - a huge exhibition space and modern art gallery in Paris. The gallery is an impressive art deco building located near the Seine, opposite the Eiffel Tower.

The exhibition was called Cellar Door. All the installations were made by a young artist called Loris Gréaud. The exhibition filled the gallery, though not all the art was to my taste. Nonetheless, there were some interesting and thought-provoking exhibits.

This evening I went to the opening night of an art exhibition at the Bulgarian Cultural Centre in Paris. The centre has regular exhibitions and concerts. The director of the centre (second from left) is a real character - typical Bulgarian!

This weekend I went back to England - here's a picture of the Eurostar train at Gare du Nord. The journey to London takes just over 2 hours - so London is closer to Paris than many places in France. I usually go back to London around twice a month to see my family and friends.
